Graham Central Station playing “Pow”

by Shawn Bradshaw

Larry Graham was originally the bass player in Sly and the Family Stone and was one of the original slap bass pioneers.

This is a video of Larry Graham and Graham Central Station on the 70s TV show Soul Train playing the song “Pow”. That’s one cool slap bass groove.

I loved that slap groove so much I included it in my “Slap Bass Funky Fundamentals” course. Check it out if you want to develop your slap bass super powers. And have fun doing it.
